Experience the thrills and excitement of the winter sport sensation—from the warmth, comfort, and convenience of wherever you happen to be. For 2 players. There is no AI, currently.
The basics: each player gets 8 stones per end (inning.) There are 8 ends in a game. Players alternate throwing stones, with the goal of finishing the end with their stone closest to the center (the "button") of the target pattern (the "house.") The winning player will receive as many points as they have stones (a) in or touching the house and (b) closer to the button than their opponents closest stone. The player who did not score in the previous end gets to throw the first stone in each new end. If no one scored in the previous end, then whoever got first throw in the previous end goes first again.
Game mechanics: The stone can be moved horizontally by tapping and holding. The stone will have more spin imparted on it the closer to the edge it gets. Release the stone by sliding (not swiping) upward—the colored bar gives a visual indicator of how much power youre putting into the throw. The stone will curve more with greater spin, and with less speed. Once the stone is thrown the screen can be tapped to sweep the stones path—sweeping both reduces curl and reduces friction, making the stone go straighter and further. Both thrown stones and stones already in play can slide out of bounds—any stones out of bounds are removed from play immediately.
Warning for the purists: this isnt exactly a faithful adaptation of the sport. It has been reformatted to fit your screen, and to be a bit more fun on a phone.
